Even following 13 years of painstaking
research, author Rick Van Horne could not possibly have
contacted every former Driller to include their memories. But
now you can tell your story and we’ll post it on this
site — possibly even in the updated second volume of Friday Night Heroes.

fan or graduate of Bakersfield High, we’re sure almost
everyone who attended BHS has a great story to tell. Remember

Corrections, Clarifications, Omissions
and/or New Information
No history is ever complete, and while
author Rick Van Horne spent 13 years researching, interviewing
and pouring through newspapers, files, facts and figures from
every available authority, invariably Friday Night Heroes likely
includes some errors and omissions. If you have verifiable
